Nick Dibley

Design Engineer

Nick has a diverse range of product development skills, ranging from medical design to sales and marketing.

Nick graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent the first decade of his career designing medical equipment at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. Most of this time was spent developing equipment and systems to manage the core body temperature of new-born and premature babies for use in labour suites and Intensive Care Units.

At the end of 2008, he moved to the United Kingdom to join the Fisher & Paykel Healthcare UK sales team. Nick performed a variety of roles including direct sales, marketing and product management.

Nick believes that research, education, and effective communication are vital to a success venture. Due to his varied career, Nick has developed a wide range of skills appropriate to product and business development. He’s excited about the prospect of applying these skills to projects for Locus Research.

FUN FACTS

Favourite place in the world is San Sebastian… beach, tapas, and vino, enough said.

Lived in London for almost 10 years but never visited Buckingham Palace.

Born in Tauranga Hospital but hasn’t lived in Tauranga (until now).

CULTURE

Loves to spend time outdoors, be it camping, fishing, boating or walking the dog.

Sports fan – played cricket for 10 seasons in the United Kingdom.

Cooking (and eating) is a passion; variety is the spice of life.
