So long, Simo!

What can we say about Simon Crane…

Famous around the studio for his saxophone skills, initiating Hawaiian shirt Friday, and of course, a great eye for user-based design. Simon first came to the Locus studio fresh out of Uni at Victoria, working as an intern on a face-mask development project back in 2013. Then, when Uni called again, trying to lure him back into a Master’s program, he made the choice to stay in and join the team as a product designer. And boy are we glad he did!

Simon has gifted us with nearly 5 years of laughter and insightful design. His work on projects like the Inverse Hair Conditioning System and the Ubco 2×2, research for so, so many projects, and endless sketching (in journals, loose pages, anywhere he could, really) were pivotal in his time at Locus. He did his fair share of cooking for the team and provided us with a great many ‘open mouth shots’ to boot.

Simon has now decided his next step is the big OE — we’re looking forward to following his adventures across the globe and hope he’ll always find a home at Locus. (We did get him a couch, after all.)

So long, Simo!
